Barefoot Puppets @ Build RVA

Every child loves a puppet show. Barefoot Puppets shared their secrets for materials and making puppets move for guests from RVA Makers in Richmond, VA. Founder and director Heidi Rugg has been building and performing original works since 1997 to entertain and enlighten youth.

Barefoot Puppet Theatre celebrates the natural wonders and cultural diversity of our world through the art of puppetry. Through performances, interactive workshops, and residency programs, Barefoot Puppet Theatre seeks to nurture the creative spark, cultivate a joy of learning, and plant the seeds for a greater understanding and appreciation of the arts and the world around us.

The puppet workshop was held at Build, RVA, a product accelerator and workshop open to the community.
